And they’ll know we are Christians

Posted on November 1, 2024November 1, 2024 by Maria Huemmer

Happy All Saints Day! It has been a whirlwind of getting back to school, going from hot to less hot weather, and celebrating the big and little things in life!

A short reflection for this All Saints day — as Christians we are called to be salt to the earth — to add flavor. And I would like to suggest my favorite flavor — joy! Joy is a way to recognize that we are sojourners in this world and that we anticipate something so great as to minimize what we experience here on earth. Joy can be manifested differently for different people. It may be a simple smile, peace, or over the top bubbly laughter 🙂

To take an artistic twist on a common song, They’ll Know we are Christians by our Love—and our Joy!

Without joy, faith becomes a rigorous and oppressive exercise, and runs the risk of ailing with sadness. There is no holiness without joy!

Journey With Me!

My name is Maria and I am a child of God, a wife, and a mother.

My mission here is to create a space to share reflections, walk and learn with others on the spiritual journey, our quest to seek out the purpose of our earthly life and spread the good news!

Everyone's journey is different, but I believe that ultimately the path can lead us all to the same place, which is peace, truth, and Love.
